The service was excellent. The servers were friendly and accomodating. We started with a glass of wonderfully ice cold cava. I ordered the Salmon cakes with a chive creme fraiche. I was a tad dissapointed. I wanted desperately to like them. They looked ravishing on the plate nuzzled up against a fresh mesclun salad, lightly sauced with the white and green creme fraiche. Cutting into one I could instantly see there was more bread than salmon. The taste, although seasoned well lacked the softness I would have expected from a salmon cake. It was more like eating salmon stuffing. My lunch companion had better luck - ordering a tasty sandwich with home-made chip that were wonderful.

I will go back despite my lackluster salmon cakes. They seemed to deserve another chance. I will let you know what I think when I do.
